Bill was a regular member for the C Team from
1997 to 2002.
A big man from Canada with alot of experience Bill
was the corner stone of any scrum that was put down.
An ELT in the city at the time Bill would come out
and enjoy a trot on the great Nopporo grounds in
summer from time to time.
Mateaki at just 19 is the youngest invited player
to come to the Barbarians.
However, he would have to be one of the best performers
winning player of the day in most East Japan games
he played in. Young, fit, strong and a lethal tackler.
