INVITED PLAYERS

Peter Rawling

Peter orginally came to Hokkaido as an ELT with an eye on the powder snow being a keen snowboarder.
However, to the Barbarians fortune Peter ended up being a very talented mid-field back and became an invited player for two seasons. Peter was a very well balanced player, ran great lines, distributed well and defended brilliantly.

In 2002 ran the team backline and was a key part of the reason we made it to the All Japan final that year beating Rokko in a tough semi-final.

Peter was not your typical rugby player off-field by any stretch of the imagination, he kept himself busy in a wide range of hobbies, businesses and activities.
A very popular player with the Japanese members, his identifiable piercing still talked about ten years after his leaving.

Peter currently lives in Melbourne as a international wine manager.
